JOB DESCRIPTION

Pivotal IT is seeking an experienced IT Field Service Engineer to help support our growing client base in Spartanburg, SC and surrounding areas.

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Help our clients achieve optimum use of their computer networks with on-site and remote support for issues escalated by our Help Desk
  • Deliver, install, configure, and troubleshoot Windows desktops, laptops, switches, firewalls, wireless access points and other networking equipment at client facilities
  • Create, administer, and maintain end user accounts, permissions, and access rights
  • Work proactively to ensure the best performance of client systems with minimal interruptions and ensure Service Level Agreements are met for all clients
  • Concisely describe work performed and accurately document billable time via Connectwise CRM including all additions and changes made to client environments

Requirements:

  • Strong computer analysis and diagnostic skills with the ability to implement quick and effective solutions to network problems
  • Experience installing and/or supporting a variety of Windows based network environments for multiple clients
  • Proficiency in configuring, deploying, and troubleshooting networking hardware and services including HTTP, DNS, TCP/IP, VPNs, VLANs, routing and switching
  • Experience installing, configuring, diagnosing, and resolving issues with Windows Server,Desktop OS, Microsoft SMB Applications, Email Systems and Anti-Virus software
  • Familiarity with backup and recovery software and methodologies
  • Ability to adapt on the fly to accommodate priority issues
  • Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Professional appearance, excellent people skills, telephone manner, and communication skills
  • Reliable transportation and a valid Driver’s License


It is a plus if you have:

  • Experience with the ConnectWise software suite
  • Previous experience with a Managed Technology Services  company
