JOB DESCRIPTION

Pivotal IT is seeking an experienced IT Field Service Engineer to join our close-knit team. The successful candidate will help support Pivotal IT’s growing client base in Spartanburg, SC and surrounding areas.

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Help our clients achieve optimum use of their computer networks with on-site and remote support for issues escalated by our Help Desk
  • Deliver, install, configure, and troubleshoot Windows desktops, laptops, switches, firewalls, wireless access points and other networking equipment at client facilities
  • Create, administer, and maintain end user accounts, permissions, and access rights
  • Work proactively to ensure the best performance of client systems with minimal interruptions and ensure Service Level Agreements are met for all clients
  • Concisely describe work performed and accurately document billable time via Connectwise CRM including all additions and changes made to client environments
  • Participate in on-call rotation

Requirements

  • Strong computer analysis and diagnostic skills with the ability to implement quick and effective solutions to network problems
  • Experience installing and/or supporting a variety of Windows based network environments for multiple clients
  • Proficiency in configuring, deploying, and troubleshooting networking hardware and services including HTTP, DNS, TCP/IP, VPNs, VLANs, routing and switching
  • Experience installing, configuring, diagnosing, and resolving issues with Windows Server, Desktop OS, Microsoft SMB Applications, Email Systems and Anti-Virus software
  • Familiarity with backup and recovery software and methodologies
  • Ability to adapt on the fly to accommodate priority issues
  • Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Professional appearance, excellent people skills, telephone manner, and communication skills
  • Reliable transportation and a valid Driver’s License

Business Development / Outside Sales Associate

JOB DESCRIPTION

Pivotal IT is seeking an experienced Business Development Representative / Outside Sales Associate to work with our existing sales and marketing team to help drive continued growth with new clients and expand our relationships with existing clients in Spartanburg, SC and surrounding areas. The ideal candidate should have MSP or other technology-based sales experience.

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Develop a solid understanding of our value proposition to potential clients and translate our value in both written and oral communications.  
  • Acquire new accounts though B2B prospecting to the C-Level, networking events and strategic partnerships.
  • Build and maintain relationships with our existing client base to better assess client technology needs, further brand loyalty and drive sales.
  • Work with our Engineering Team to identify hardware, software, licensing and infrastructure needs for existing and prospective clients and projects.
  • Provide quotes and place orders for hardware, software and other technology products via QuoteWerks and Connectwise CRM
  • Manage contracts and agreements to ensure expectations are being established, communicated and met.  
  • Work with management to qualify and disqualify potential clients.  
  • Work with marketing to help drive campaigns and client facing materials.

Requirements

  • Experience with Managed Technology Services, Cloud Computing, Business Continuity, Microsoft products and licensing or at least 5 years of technology industry direct sales experience 
  • Understanding of current small business network technologies and frameworks 
  • Experience presenting technical service and consulting agreement proposals to C-level executives via PowerPoint and speaking to all levels and group sizes in person, on the phone and in writing. 
  • Professional appearance 
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills  
  • Strong judgement, time management and prioritization 
  • Reliable transportation and valid Driver’s License
